Garvan Woodland Gardens is on a mission to get kids outside! Studies show spending time in nature is beneficial to every aspect of our health. We aim to provide programming that instills a love and respect for nature while helping children learn, build resilience, and gain confidence.

Requirements to participate:

-Must be potty trained and able to perform all bathroom tasks independently -Able to follow instructions and respect perimeter boundaries -Weather appropriate clothing

-Able to move through the gardens with little redirection -Parents provide small snack and refillable water bottle

Please ensure child is able to meet the requirements. If a child is signed up and is unable to safely participate, they will not be allowed to continue in the program and no refund will be granted.

Three summer camps will be offered for school aged children. Each week will have a focus theme while also following the interests and guidance of participating children.

Space will be limited to 15 children per session.

Requirements to participate:
-MUST be potty trained and able to perform ALL bathroom tasks independently
-Able to follow instructions and respect perimeter boundaries
-Weather appropriate clothing
-Able to move through the gardens with little redirection
-Parents provide small snack, change of clothes and refillable water bottle
-Children must be able to participate in active play for extended time periods
*Please ensure child is able to meet the requirements. If a child is signed up and is unable to safely participate they will not be allowed to continue in the program and no refund will be granted.

Help us kick off summer camps by celebrating pollinator month with an in depth study of pollinators and their effect on our environment. Planting that benefits pollinators will also
be incorporated!

Children will discuss how animals survive in the wild and scenarios that force animals to adjust to their surroundings while learning how humans can also survive in the wild if they have the necessary knowledge!

Week 3 Creative Camp
Use natural materials to create art mediums, musical instruments, or costumes for a play! This one is for the kids that have a passion for the performing arts!
